On June 27th, 2011, tragedy struck our good friend Danielle Bissell and her family.
Danielle was living in a small farmhouse in Grandforks, North Dakota with her boyfriend, Justin McMahon and their baby girl Sam.
In the evening on the 27th, after smelling a gas leak, their house exploded, leaving them both seriously injured and taking the life of their six month old baby girl Sammantha.
As of today, among other serious injuries, both Danielle's feet are broken as well as herpelvis and she has a fractured neck. Justin broke both ankles and legs and may lose his right foot or both. Justin does not have medical insurance and their renters insurance was minimal.
Please help us by making a donation to help them cover their medical expenses and help them start a new life.

Please find it in your hearts to help our friend out as they are left to cope with the aftermath of this horrific night.
as you may or may not know, Justin did not have medical insurance and their expenses will be great. He lost both of his legs and continues to face the possibility of infection and more sergery. Today, Dani was supposed to be released from the hospital into a long term care facility, but had to have another sergery on her foot to prevent her from losing it. she will have another sergery next week and hopefully by the weekend she can leave. She will undergo many more sergerys to remove the plates and metal throughout her body as she heals from her broken back and neck. THey are currently in the same hospital, and when they will be released, they will travel more than 300 miles to the long term care facility close to where Justin's family lives in Nebraska.
We do not have a dollar ammount in mind. I have gotten in touch with every person Dani and I went to school with and have more than $2,000 for them. I"m not sure what their expenses are, but I know that even after they pay their medical bills, they will require a house for their special needs so that they can live on their own and start over. THis will be very expensive, I'm sure. and while they can just go back to renting some day, I hope that we are able to help them afford a place that will meet their needs so life in their own home will not be a challange.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I am only in contact with Dani through emails and updates through Justin's mother. They are still recovering from the terriable loss of their daughter, and are staying to themselves for the time. but they are aware of everthing that people are doing to help them, and they couldn't be more thankful.
